The kids' smartwatch idea —
without buying everyone a watch.

WebCallHub Loop is private calling and walkie-talkie push-to-talk for the people you trust. Kids reach only the contacts you approve. It works on any phone, tablet or a simple one-button device — no phone number, no strangers, no frequencies to match, no range limit.

For families · daycares & schools · elder & home care — built on WebCallHub's WebRTC engine.
TL;DR: Kids' smartwatches are loved because a child can only reach approved people. But you buy a device per child, add a SIM, and pay a mobile plan. Loop keeps the "approved-contacts-only" safety and the walkie-talkie feel — but runs on devices you already own, over the internet, with no phone number and no strangers. From €9/mo for families; €49/mo per location for daycares and care homes.

How Loop works

Three things, and a child or an elderly parent is connected to exactly the right people — and no one else.

1

Build the circle

A parent or admin adds the approved contacts — mum, dad, grandma, the daycare. There's no public number and no directory, so no one outside the circle can ever get in.

2

Tap to call or hold to talk

Tap a face to start a call, or press and hold for walkie-talkie push-to-talk to the whole group. Works over WiFi or mobile data — across town or across the country.

3

On any device — or one button

Use the phone, tablet or laptop you already have. For little ones or grandparents, add the optional one-button Loop Button: press it, it calls home. Nothing else to tap.

Under the hood it's the same browser-to-browser WebRTC audio that powers WebCallHub for businesses — EU-hosted in Helsinki, encrypted, GDPR-first. No new phone system, no hardware required.

Safety & privacy

Loop is private by design. Built by a Finnish company on WebCallHub's EU-hosted infrastructure (Hetzner, Helsinki). Audio is encrypted browser-to-browser. There are no ads, we never sell data, and children's accounts require a parent's consent. A child or resident can only ever be reached by the contacts an adult has approved — there is no public number and no stranger can get in.

Not an emergency device. Loop is for everyday connection between people you trust. It is not a replacement for emergency services (112 / 911) and it is not a certified medical-alert system. Please don't rely on it for emergencies.

Questions

How is Loop different from a kids' smartwatch like Xplora?

A kids' smartwatch is hardware you buy per child, with a SIM card and a monthly mobile plan, and you're locked to that one device. Loop is software: it runs on a phone, tablet, laptop or an optional simple one-button device, with no SIM and no phone number. Like the watch, kids can only reach the contacts you approve — but it also works on devices you already own and it's EU-hosted and GDPR-first.

Is it like a walkie-talkie?

Yes — Loop has a push-to-talk mode: press and hold to talk to your circle, just like a walkie-talkie. But there are no frequencies to match and no range limit. It works over WiFi or mobile data, so your kids can reach you from across town or across the country, and only people in your approved circle can hear it.

Can my child be contacted by strangers?

No. Loop is a closed circle. There is no phone number to call, no public directory, no social feed and no app store of strangers. Only the contacts a parent or admin approves can call or push-to-talk.

What does it cost?

Family is from €9/month for up to 8 people. Care & Daycare is €49/month per location with a one-time €390 done-for-you setup. An optional one-button hardware device is €39. Reseller and municipality pricing is custom.

When can I use it?

Loop is in early access. Book a pilot below and we'll set you up and walk your family, daycare or care team through it.
