Frequently asked questions

What is WebCallHub?

WebCallHub is a click-to-call widget for websites. Visitors click a button on your site and start a real voice call with your team in their browser — no app, no phone number, no plugin. The audio path uses WebRTC, the same technology behind Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.

How do I add WebCallHub to my website?

Sign up, copy a one-line script tag from your dashboard, and paste it before the closing body tag of your site. The widget appears as a floating call button. Total time: about 5 minutes.

Do I need a phone number, PBX, or VoIP provider?

No. WebCallHub is browser-to-browser. Calls never touch the public phone network unless you explicitly enable PSTN fallback. There is no PBX, no SIP trunk, and no per-minute carrier fees on the free plan.

Do customers have to install anything?

No. Visitors click the call button, allow microphone access in the browser, and start talking. Works in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop, iOS, and Android.

Does WebCallHub work with WordPress?

Yes. Install the WebCallHub WordPress plugin from the dashboard, or paste the widget script into your theme's footer.php. There is also a Gutenberg block for inline call buttons inside posts and pages.

Does WebCallHub work with Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, or Wix?

Yes. Paste the widget script into the footer code injection field of any of these platforms. Shopify: Online Store, Themes, Edit Code, theme.liquid. Webflow: Project Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code. Squarespace: Settings, Advanced, Code Injection, Footer.

Is there a React component or npm package?

Yes. Install @webcallhub/widget from npm and use the WebCallHubWidget component for tighter integration with React, Vue, Angular and other framework apps. The package ships UMD and ESM builds with TypeScript definitions.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 100 browser-call minutes per month, 1 agent and 1 website, and shows a 'Powered by WebCallHub' badge. No credit card required.

How much does WebCallHub cost?

Free: 100 browser-call minutes/month, 1 agent. Starter: $25/month (2 agent seats). Growth: $79/month (4 agents). Business: $249/month (10 agents). Enterprise is custom-priced — talk to sales — and adds unlimited agents and a custom SLA. Every paid plan includes unlimited browser-to-browser calls; prices are USD and mirror 1:1 in EUR.

What happens if I exceed my monthly minutes?

On paid plans there is nothing to exceed — browser-to-browser calls are unlimited and never metered. Only the free plan has a 200-minute cap. Optional PSTN phone fallback has its own included minutes (Starter 50, Growth 200, Business 1,000, Enterprise 5,000) and bills overage per phone minute, from about $0.08 down to $0.04 by tier.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no contract on monthly plans. Annual plans get about 20% off; fees are non-refundable, but you keep access until the end of the paid period.

What audio quality does WebCallHub deliver?

WebCallHub uses the Opus codec at up to 48 kHz wideband audio — clearer than a regular phone call. Audio runs over WebRTC with TURN relay fallback for restrictive networks.

How does call routing work?

Inbound calls ring all online agents simultaneously by default. You can configure round-robin, skill-based routing, business hours, after-hours fallback to email or PSTN, and per-website agent groups.

Is the audio encrypted?

Yes. WebRTC audio is encrypted with DTLS-SRTP — the same encryption used by Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Signaling uses TLS.

Is WebCallHub GDPR compliant?

Yes. We sign a DPA on request, support data deletion within 30 days, and never sell user data. Visitors are not tracked across sites.

How is WebCallHub different from Intercom or Drift?

Intercom and Drift focus on chat. WebCallHub is voice-first — every interaction is a real conversation rather than a typed message, which suits high-intent traffic that wants an answer now.

How is WebCallHub different from Aircall or RingCentral?

Aircall and RingCentral are phone systems built around phone numbers. WebCallHub starts at the website: visitors call you with one click and no number is needed. You can add PSTN fallback if you want both.

How is WebCallHub different from Calendly?

Calendly schedules a call for later. WebCallHub starts the call now, while intent is highest. Many customers use both.
